Basic supplies

Toilet paper and hand soap are provided in the bathrooms. Dish soap, dishwasher tabs, kitchen roll, garbage bags, plastic wrap and aluminum foil, as well as a basic supply of flour, sugar, salt and spices, and 20 espresso capsules can be found in the kitchen cabinets. The SodaStream cartridge is filled; if it runs out, please let us know so we can exchange it.

BBQ

You are welcome to have a barbecue in the garden. A high-quality Broil King gas grill with three burners is at your disposal. Please clean it after use so that the next guests can enjoy it as well. i.e., after use, heat up and burn off any residues and brush the grates with the wire brush as required. The BBQ tongs and brush are stored beneath the grill (open the door) next to the gas bottle. Please turn on the gas before use and turn it off again after use. Cover the grill with the protective sleeve after it has cooled down. To start the grill, simply turn on the burner and press the ignition button under the middle flame. That was that. Tip: You can turn the two grill grates depending on the food to be cooked. The narrow gaps are ideal for poultry and vegetables. Have fun and enjoy your meal.

Bedding

You needn’t bring any bed linen – the beds are freshly made.

Bikes

We recommend storing your bicycles safely behind the house or in the garden shed through the left-hand door. No key is required. The nearest bike rental shop is Luggi around the corner, which also offers repairs.

Cleaning agents/brooms etc.
Cleaning supplies can be found in the bottom of the leftmost kitchen cabinet. If something is missing, we are happy to help.

Dishtowels
Tea towels and dishcloths are available in the kitchen in the drawer under the oven.

Final cleaning
Final cleaning is included in the rental price. We kindly ask you to keep the house clean. Should a “mishap” occur where the cleaning utensils provided are not sufficient, please contact us.

For longer stays, there is the option to book intermediate cleaning at a price of € 250. Alternatively, there is the option to change only the bed linen and towels for € 45 per guest. If you would like smaller cleaning services such as tidying up the kitchen etc. during your stay, we will try to make this possible at an hourly rate of € 39 by arrangement with cleaning staff.

First aid kit
A first aid kit is available in case of emergencies. It is located in the kitchen in the tall cupboard on the left above the refrigerator. We very much hope you won’t need it.

Games
A selection of games is available for you for a cozy game night. You will find them in the medieval chest in the living area. To open the front door of the chest, lift the lid slightly and fold down the door. 400 years ago, the chest used to open upwards, but now there is also a flap to the front, which can stick a little bit. Please be careful as the flap may fall down, so place it gently onto the floor. Have fun!

Gas fireplace in the family room

Press and hold the on/off button on the top left of the remote control. A small blue flame will appear, and after a few seconds, the 2nd burner will turn on, and the flames will start to turn yellow.

Next, please press the button with the three flames, then the flame interplay changes attractively while saving about 40% in energy. Like a wood-burning stove, the fireplace gets very hot when in operation, so please keep any objects a safe distance away. Always turn off the stove when you leave the house or the room for a longer time; the environment will thank you! The stove cannot be switched on/off at will. Once it has been turned off, it takes about 5 minutes before you can switch it on again..

Ironing service
You can borrow an iron and ironing board from us free of charge during your stay.

Kitchen equipment
The kitchen is fully equipped and of high quality. If you can’t find what you need, please take a look at the inventory list. If you still can’t find the item sought, please contact us, and we will try to get the “missing” items to you as soon as possible.

Lambskins
A total of eight selected cozy lambskins from German sheep are distributed throughout the home as snug seat and lounger covers, for example, for sunbathing in winter or with a bathrobe after a sauna. The 100% organic skins are all cleaned hygienically in the dryer after each change of guests, as they cannot be washed wet.

Light controls

Each of the light switches next to the beds controls the ceiling and a reading lamp, and partly also the power socket at the bed.

The switches under the electric shutters control the outdoor power sockets, while the garden lighting can be switched on or off in the large 1st-floor bedroom and at the door to the garden.

The staircase and hallway lighting is activated by motion detectors and can be set as desired with the sliding switch below. Left is off, center is motion-activated, right is permanent light.

The dining table lamp works short pressed on/off and long pressed dim!

For the light above the sink, there is a small, black touch switch.

The light in the green bathroom on the 1st floor can be adjusted as desired with the white remote or traditionally with the light switch by briefly turning it on/off 1-3 times.

Listening to the radio and your own music

You can listen to the radio or your own music conveniently via the TV. Tip: e.g. in the kitchen, switch the channel button down, i.e., not from 1. ARD to 2. ZDF etc., but backward to 4999, and you will see all the radio stations available.

In the kitchen, on the shelf under the TV, a mobile Bose Bluetooth Soundlink Minibox is available to play music from your cell phone. Switch it on, press the Bluetooth button until it flashes blue and pair it with your phone.

If you prefer old-school listening, there is a Philips CD radio next to the printer on the shelf in the attic. Please return it to its place before leaving.

Parking

Parking directly at the house is only permitted for loading and unloading in the pedestrian zone. Free parking is available in the underground parking lot P5 City Sparkassenhaus 200 m (220 yards) away. You can enter and exit over Theresienstraße via your license plate number. Please let us know your license plate number as soon as possible so that the system entry of your license plate number can be saved at the parking garage. Tickets for additional cars can be purchased at the ticket machine on site. The operator, APCOA, offers for your second car additional 10 daily tickets for € 56 or monthly tickets for € 105.

Tip:

From parking deck A (press -1 or -2 depending on where your car is parked), you have direct access to the Theresienhof with the Rossmann drugstore (press 1 for the upper floor) and the Rewe supermarket (press 0 for the ground floor) via the lift.

From parking deck B, you can exit directly onto Kaiser-Maximilian-Platz (ground floor).

Pets
Kindly understand that pets are not allowed in the house or on the property.

Phone In the age of smartphones, a landline phone is superfluous if mobile reception is good. This is the case with us, so no phone is provided specifically for your use in our vacation home. While there is a phone, it acts as a front-door video station. If necessary, it can also be used for emergencies as a baby monitor or similar. Landline calls are free of charge if needed.

Printer
In the ‘Lieblingsplatz-Fuessen’ Wi-Fi network, simply select the HP LaserJet Pro M148dw and you can print in black and white. If you want to print colour images or similar immediately, the Rossmann drugstore in the small shopping centre above the car park and also the Müller drugstore on “Kemptener Straße 1 ” offers an inexpensive and high-quality solution.

Reading material There is a selection of books and magazines in the house. Should you like a book but weren’t able to finish reading it, feel free to ask if you can borrow it.

Safe
A safe is available for small valuables in the built-in wardrobe gallery on the left. You will receive the code separately.

Sauna

Our Finnish sauna with infusion bucket etc., and a selected range of 100% organic Allgäu essential sauna oils, as well as two foot bath tubs, are located on the ground floor facing the garden. Please pay attention to the fundamental conditions of use, such as taking a shower beforehand, putting towels underneath so that no sweat falls on the wood, etc.

Sauna towels and bathrobes are provided on site. Sunbeds and sauna loungers are on the terrace.

To heat up the sauna (approx. 1 hour required), turn the knob clockwise all the way to the right (LED on the switch lights up red). If the temperature is too high for you, turn the knob gently to the left to reduce it. Each mark corresponds to approx. 10°C more/less. Please make sure to close the sauna door!

Skylight + sunshade
All four skylights have a sunshade that can be operated electrically with two remote controls for the 2 south-facing (garden) and 2 north-facing windows (pedestrian zone). Since the windows are difficult to reach, one window to the south and one to the north side can also be opened electrically for ventilation with a separate remote control. Please make sure that the windows are closed if it rains and whenever you leave the house. Thank you in advance.

Smoking
Our property is a strictly non-smoking house. Please go for a walk if you wish to smoke. We appreciate your understanding.

Sodastream

On the left under the sink should be a spare cartridge ready!?

If not, we ask to buy one in exchange (eg at Rossmann above the parking garage) and send us the receipt for compensation by email.

To help exchange the cartridge either above the refrigerator in the folder “operating instructions /(Bedienungsanleitungen-DE)”, or look here a short video (found ;-). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBo_iQ4ybO0

Suitability for children

The house is suitable for older children but not furnished or equipped for toddlers. For small children under five years, it is unsuitable or unsafe. We must point out, but assume that toddlers are kept in view. A TrippTrapp high chair is available if needed.

Sunshade and chair cushions

A canopy sunshade and a storage box containing chair cushions can be found in the garden shed for your use. Please prevent the cushions from getting wet and return them to the storage box afterwards. Thank you.

Towels
Each guest receives a hand towel, a guest towel, a shower towel and a sauna towel with a bathrobe on request.

TV

The TVs are self-explanatory with operation via the remote controls. More information on their use is provided in the instruction manuals. Tip: with the Samsung TVs, pressing the rocker switch while selecting a program calls up the program overview. The ambient mode button on the top right (flower) allows you to permanently display an attractive image rather than a black screen.

You are welcome to use your personal Amazon Prime, Netflix etc. account, but please delete your details when you leave.

We kindly ask you not to install any other apps or similar and to refrain from altering the existing settings unless you set everything back to the state of your arrival before leaving. Thank you!

Washing machine and dryer

These are located on the sauna ground floor behind the door and can be used at any time if necessary. Small quantities of detergent are provided next to them in the cabinet under the sink.

Workation

Four small desks with ergonomic stools that can be rotated and adjusted in height are located on the gallery if required for your “working vacation”. They can be placed together in any order to form the creative space you need.

In addition, a 24-inch monitor (HDMI connection) and a multifunction HP-LaserJet printer, hole punch, stapler, etc., are available in the left closet door. If you need a whiteboard – please let us know before your arrival. Alternatively, you can connect your notebook to the big Smart-TV.

Dear guests,

We are delighted that you have chosen our “favorite place” and vacation home in Füssen, which was completed at the end of 2020 with state-of-the-art technology.

We selected natural materials, high-quality authentic furnishings and details with a great deal of love and passion so that you will hopefully also feel at home and find a new favorite place in Füssen for yourself.

In order to make your stay at Lieblingsplatz Füssen as relaxed as possible, we kindly ask you and your fellow travelers to observe the following rules about coexistence in our house and the neighborhood:

1. Check-in/access code

Drive to the check-in according to our directions and unload your luggage directly at the vacation home in the pedestrian zone.

You will receive a 6-digit key-free access code to open the front door when checking in or in advance. This code is valid for all guests.

Please make a note of the access code, for example, on your mobile device so that you don’t forget it and can get back into the house at any time.

Please always close the front door when leaving. The front door must not be left open or ajar unobserved.

If you need to store your luggage in our vacation home before or after your arrival or departure, please request this from us in good time. There is space available in the ground floor corridor to store luggage, however, we cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to your belongings.

2. Car parking space

A free long-term parking space is reserved for you in the “Parkhaus City Sparkassenhaus” underground parking lot operated by APCOA at Kaiser-Maximilian-Platz 5. You can reach the car entrance via Theresienstraße, on the left behind Hotel Hirsch, directly in front of the pedestrian zone/Altstadt directions).

A check-card-sized code card is available in the vacation home for entering and exiting the parking garage. You will receive this at check-in so that you can park your car in peace after unloading your luggage.

3. Guests WLAN

The QR code providing access to our guest network hangs in the kitchen. By entering the password provided, you agree to our guest WLAN terms of use.

4. Our vacation home is strictly non-smoking

Smoking inside the building is expressly forbidden. We also kindly ask you not to smoke on the balconies or in the garden. If unavoidable, please smoke in the pedestrian zone in front of the house or on a walk.

Infringements of the above smoking ban entitle the lessor/manager to bill a corresponding service surcharge for increased cleaning of at least € 150. If a fire alarm or smoke detectors are triggered by unauthorized smoking or if the smoke detectors are willfully manipulated, the lessor/manager assumes no liability. Any resulting costs for the deployment of the fire department, other security services and the repair costs will be charged to the tenant.

5. Quiet behavior and respecting the night silence

Please avoid noise and loud music at all times during your stay. Keep the TVs, music and conversations at room volume. Please also take care not to disturb others and our neighbors when outdoors or on your balcony. We kindly ask all guests to observe the night silence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. as well as the Sunday rest.

6. Furnishings

Please treat all the furnishings and equipment in the vacation home with care. Against the advice of many landlords, we opted for natural materials instead of inexpensive and low-maintenance fittings and furnishings. On the one hand, this requires more consideration and care, but on the other, it offers a far more sophisticated quality of life and enjoyment for all guests. We would also appreciate your ecologically friendly approach to the use of water and electricity.

The vacation home was thoroughly cleaned for you before your arrival. Please keep the rooms clean and orderly during your stay and assist our housekeeping team in doing their work after your departure. Changes in the rooms and equipment, especially moving the furniture – with the exception of the desks on the gallery – are generally not permitted. If you have any special wishes, please coordinate them with us.

We kindly ask you to avoid disposing of sanitary towels and tampons or any other waste in the toilets as this may lead to blockages in the plumbing system. We expressly reserve the right to claim for damages if this requirement is disregarded and damage is caused to the house as a result.

Please ensure a pleasant and healthy indoor climate in the cottage and regularly air the rooms with short, intense ventilation to prevent humidity and mold. This applies especially to the bathrooms after showering and in the winter months.

Soiling that cannot be cleaned, for example, in mattresses, the sofa, lambskins or on items of furniture and flooring, will be charged to the guest at the replacement value.

7. Towels & bed linen, washing machine & dryer

The towels provided are exclusively for use in the vacation home and may not be used as bath towels outside, e.g., in the thermal spa or as bathing towels at the many nearby lakes. In the Kristalltherme spa in Schwangau, for example, you can hire bath towels for a small fee.

If you require swimming towels for your visit to the lake or would like to have towels exchanged during your stay, please contact us.

For quality assurance reasons, washing in-house bed linen and towels is not permitted. However, we are happy to provide you with freshly laundered towels (€ 4 per set) and bed linen with a fitted sheet (€ 10 per person) at cost price in accordance with our terms and conditions.

Washing your own laundry is possible at any time, free of charge. Detergent is also provided.

8. Use of the sauna:

Please treat yourself and the sauna with care and mindfulness. Use of the sauna is at your own risk in accordance with the usual rules and conditions of use, such as always taking a shower beforehand, placing a towel underneath you, and not placing anything on the hot stove, as there is a risk of fire! If you are ever unsure about anything, we are always only ever a phone call away.

9. Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, contact the relevant services immediately on the following numbers:

Ambulance and fire department: 112, Medical emergency service: 116117, Poison hotline: 089 19240, and if necessary, please also contact us or our administrator immediately.

If a fire breaks out, our smoke detectors emit a loud signal tone. If the alarm is activated and a false alarm is not immediately apparent, leave the vacation home by the quickest route via the staircase. The emergency escape point is in front of the house on Schrannenplatz. Show your children the escape route from the house as a precaution after checking in. Do not attempt to retrieve any personal items in the event of a fire.

To prevent the risk of fire, bonfires, open flames and candles – without flame protection such as a glass – are forbidden in the entire premises of the vacation home, especially in the bedrooms. You are residing in a listed old town, which discourages open fire. There are plenty of LED candles in the house that can almost substitute candlelight, and do so safely!

Whenever it rains and in general during the autumn and winter months, there is a risk of slipping on the balconies and in the garden due to moisture, leaves, ice or snow. Walking on these areas is at your own risk.

10. Parents’ duty of supervision

Parents are responsible for their children and all other minors traveling with them. Please ensure children do not climb on the balconies or the historic roof truss and stairs, among other things.

11. Windows and doors

Guests are requested to keep windows (unless tilted) and doors (especially the front door and skylights) closed at all times when leaving the house to prevent rain damage. For the sake of the environment, please also switch off lights and any electrical appliances.

12. Departure

On the day of your departure, the vacation home must be completely vacated by 10 a.m. at the latest. We would like to remind you that additional costs may arise in the event of a late departure. Failure to leave the property or remove personal belongings after 12 noon on the day of departure will automatically be interpreted as a request to extend your stay by one day/night.

We kindly ask you to leave the home and all facilities neat and tidy. Check all the rooms, closets, drawers and the safe so as not to forget any personal belongings. Unfortunately, we cannot accept liability or guarantee the return of any forgotten items, especially valuables such as jewelry or cash. Log out of your accounts in the Smart TVs if you used your personal accounts. The theft of vacation home fixtures and fittings (e.g. towels, decorations, kitchen utensils) will be billed and possibly reported to the police. If a minor mishap should occur, i.e. you damage something in the vacation home, please contact us, and we will find a solution together. Damages caused by you will be charged in full. Those, which are only determined after your departure by our staff, will be considered as deliberate damage to property, and we will proceed accordingly.

Please take care to dispose of all trash in the receptacles provided. If you have greater quantities of waste, please ask us for larger garbage bags.

When leaving the property, please close all windows, turn off the electrical appliances and lights, and pull the front door shut securely.

If you made use of your room keys, please make sure to leave them in the respective doors.

Please leave the code card for the parking garage on the kitchen table after parking your car in front of the house to load your suitcases.

13. House ban

The non-observance of one or more of the above provisions may lead to an immediate ban from our premises. In such a case, the guest forfeits their right to accommodation and a refund of any prepaid fees. We reserve the right to make changes to these house rules at any time. The current house rules are always available on our website or in the guest folder with the password “Urlaub”.

Thank you very much for reading and respecting our house rules. Should you have any questions, we are always at your disposal.

We wish you a lovely stay at Lieblingsplatz Füssen vacation home.

Saunas are intended to cleanse the body, relax the muscles and refresh the mind.
A sauna is a place where you can relax after a demanding day, where the soothing warmth helps you relax and stimulates reflection. The hiss of the cold water when it hits the heated stones, then the blast of hot air that penetrates the skin like a gentle massage – the exhilarating sequence of the sauna session, which ends with a refreshing shower and a rest, gives us the sensation of being born again.

• How long should you stay in the sauna?
There are no hard and fast rules about how long you should stay in the sauna or how often you should warm up and cool down. The warm-up time depends on the temperature, humidity and each individual. You should always listen to your body and take your sauna in a way that makes you feel comfortable. Beginners should only stay in the sauna for as long as they feel comfortable, even if it is only for a few minutes.

• Sauna etiquette
Please place a towel under every part of your body (including your back and the soles of your feet) to soak up the sweat. If you feel any discomfort due to the high temperature, you should immediately move to where you feel more comfortable. Hot air rises, so the temperature is highest under the ceiling. In a sitting position, the head is exposed to the most heat and the legs to the least. Most people find this rather uncomfortable, so it is recommended (at least for beginners) to lie on your back with your legs slightly raised, which can be leaned against the bench above if space permits.

• Please be considerate of others!
This applies especially if you are an “old hand” at saunas and plan to pour water on the stones in the heater. Continuous watering of the hot stones does not increase the temperature significantly, but it does increase the relative humidity, which changes the sauna experience. It is therefore advisable to water the stones only when everyone present agrees to additional steam in the air.Watering is better done only when everyone present agrees with the extra steam in the air.

• After exiting the sauna, the first thing that follows is an air bath.
You should never be in too great a hurry to get under the shower. However, you should always wash before commencing the next sauna session.

The resting periods between each sauna session are very important and should be carefully observed. Feel free to use the loungers naked with a sauna towel but, for hygienic reasons, we ask you to only use the sofa, sheepskins, or beds after showering or while wearing a bathrobe or a dry towel.

• Healing properties of the sauna
The main purpose of a sauna is to provide relaxation and a sense of well-being. However, it also has a number of other healing effects. By increasing the heartbeat rate, blood circulation is stimulated, and the skin becomes rosy and well supplied with blood. Accelerated kidney activity eliminates salts, toxins and waste products from the body. A sauna is the best skin cleanser possible. The pores are widened by the heat, and dead skin particles, dust, dirt, make-up residue and excess sebum are eliminated with the sweat. This enables the epidermisto renew itself more easily. Saunas provide excellent cosmetic care for the skin; they help to alleviate skin disorders and have a preventive effect against cellulite.
A sauna session also reduces mental and physical stress. Pains and tensions in muscles and joints decrease because a sauna relaxes the entire muscular system and eases muscle tension. For this reason, a sauna is a guarantee of a good night’s sleep for many people.

• Who is a sauna less suitable for, or not suitable at all?
Saunas are only suitable for healthy people. Any visit to the sauna is at your own risk. A sauna is not recommended for unwell people who cannot tolerate humidity (damp heat). The same applies to patients with cardiovascular diseases, arterial hypertension, diabetes, malignant diseases, pulmonary diseases and epilepsy, who should consult their doctor before using the sauna. You should never take a sauna while under the influence of alcohol. Pregnant women and children should shorten the duration of their sauna visit and avoid excessively high temperatures.
As long as you follow the general guidelines and don’t make a temperature and endurance contest out of your visit, taking a sauna is completely safe. If you have any concerns or health problems, be sure to consult a doctor before using the sauna.

• Sauna and nudity
Nudity in the sauna has always been a natural activity and nothing sexual. Live a healthy life.

The word “sauna” comes from Finnish and is considered a sacred place for most Finns. It was once believed that good spirits dwell in the sauna, good but nonetheless spirits that could not be fazed by inappropriate behavior*. Saunas also symbolize maternal warmth and security, so particularly distressed individuals and those facing significant life challenges sought refuge here.
The sauna is a place to relax and meditate.
The natural relationship between one’s naked body and the naked glowing hot rock conveys a sense of serenity and calm. The temperature in a Finnish sauna is from 60°C to 110°C, usually around 80°C. Our body is able to withstand the high air temperature in the sauna because the perspiration evaporates, cooling the surface of the skin. After 10 to 20 minutes in the sauna, the heartbeat (pulse) accelerates to 120 to 150 beats per minute, and the skin temperature climbs to about 40°C. You start to sweat.
A special feature of the sauna is the alternating bath, where you first heat up your body in the sauna and later gradually cool it down again (in the cool air in the anteroom or with a cold shower). The hot air releases muscle tension and causes copious sweating.
Saunas are also ideal for cosmetic care. The accelerated blood circulation also improves blood supply to the skin. Increased sweating helps to eliminate salts and toxins from the body and cleans the pores. As a result, the epidermis can renew itself more easily and quickly, especially if a gentle peeling is used to remove calluses and dead skin particles before the sauna session.

• A very special experience – the sauna infusion!

The highlight of every sauna session is the infusion. Those less familiar with saunas are unlikely to appreciate it as anything special. But for true sauna lovers, the infusion is a real ceremony that crowns every sauna visit.

By stimulating sweating, the heat not only provides a body-cleansing effect but, in combination with aromatherapy, also activates the body’s self-healing powers. Balsamic-scented essential oils are used for the sauna infusion. A small selection of scents is available for you to choose from. Through the infusion, the sauna has the effect of a steam bath. The pores of the skin open, and breathing becomes deep and intense. The rising hot steam spreads a pleasant aroma, which is not only beneficial to the sense of smell. Depending on the fragrances used in aromatherapy, they can have different effects:

  • strengthening the body’s defenses
  • antiseptic
  • analgesic
  • stimulating
  • promoting blood circulation
  • anti-inflammatory
  • antispasmodic
  • muscle relaxing
  • nerve-strengthening
  • expectorant

Fragrant oils and concentrates turn the sauna into an aromatherapy treatment. The sauna effect is enhanced by the scents. The body, mind and soul are refreshed and revitalized. A beneficial experience that relaxes all the senses.

We use only natural essential oils from the Allgaeu region as aromas and fragrances because not all fragrances are suitable for the sauna infusion. Likewise, not everyone tolerates the same vapors. What is beneficial for one person may be less so for another.

The infusion usually takes place towards the end of the sauna session. It almost doubles the water content of the air, resulting in the body experiencing an additional heat stimulus. An infusion causes the water to evaporate, thus increasing the air humidity. This makes it more difficult for the sweat on the skin to evaporate and the body heats up even more. However, the air is only humidified for a short time, partly because the wooden walls absorb quite a lot of moisture. To ensure the sauna infusion delivers what it promises, it is important to prepare a wooden bucket with water and a ladle before taking a sauna. Add a few drops of Allgaeu mountain (“Allgäuer Bergaufguss”) or forest infusion (“Waldaufguss”) to the water to enhance its effect and produce a pleasant sauna fragrance. Once you start the infusion, the sauna door should remain closed. The water is poured onto the hot sauna stones with a ladle. Always in small quantities. Afterward, the appointed sauna master has the pleasure of waving a towel, gently at first and then increasingly more vigorously. Waving the towel in a circular motion distributes the heat and humidity throughout the space. The infusion should be repeated three times, with an interval of about three minutes each time. The steam is cooler than the surroundings and eventually condenses on the sauna-goer’s skin, further enhancing the sensation of warmth. For optimum relaxation, sauna guests should not speak during the ceremony.

Before the actual infusion, it is common to let fresh air into the sauna by opening the door wide for a short time.

Avoid rushing out immediately after the infusion; ideally, sweat for a few minutes afterward! Then slowly cool down your body and respiratory tract outside in the fresh air. It is best to prepare the loungers beforehand!

Cooling down is an essential part of the health-promoting effect of a sauna. It stimulates the immune system, increases blood circulation, relaxes the muscles, exercises the blood vessels and stimulates the metabolism.

• How do you use the sauna?
The basic rule of taking a sauna is: enjoyment, relaxation and sweating.

By observing the following tips, you will provide yourself and everyone else with the most effective sauna possible.
· Allow yourself enough time – at least an hour and a half.
· Undress completely and remove any make-up and jewelry.
· Take a towel with you into the sauna to sit on.
· Shower thoroughly before entering the sauna. This will moisturize the skin and remove any odors or fragrances that do not belong in the sauna. It is also recommended to exfoliate to remove dead skin particles.
· Dry yourself off. The body should be completely dry before entering the sauna because it will start sweating faster.
· Shower cold feet with warm water before entering the sauna.
· Be sure to cover the bench with a towel when entering the sauna. Also, place a towel under your feet, hands and head. You can wipe off sweat from your body during the sauna visit.
· For your first visit to the sauna, we recommend sitting on the bottom bench where the temperature is lower. The air in a Finnish sauna is dry. You can increase humidity by pouring a few ladles of water – the infusion – on the stones in the heater.
· If possible, relax in the sauna and breathe normally.
· The first sauna session should not last longer than 12 to 15 minutes. The hourglass on the sauna wall helps you keep track of the time. If you rarely visit a Finnish sauna, you should avoid the upper bench. The lower bench is the most suitable. Experienced sauna-goers can choose the level at their own discretion.
· After you are sufficiently warmed up, leave the sauna and cool down slowly: either use the shower or just sit and rest at room temperature or outdoors. Pay particular attention to cooling the head slowly.
· During the second sauna session, the air should already be slightly more humid than during the first. The heat has already softened your skin, and your circulation has increased. Cool down again.
· The cycle of alternating baths (heating and cooling) can be repeated at will. For most people, two rounds are enough.
· Finally, you should conclude your sauna visit with a refreshing shower.
Then dry off, rest and drink something. A minimum of 10 to 15 minutes of rest in a reclining or semi-reclining chair is recommended.
· Drink something refreshing. Drinking water is recommended before and after a sauna visit.
· Cool down properly before getting dressed, otherwise, you may continue to sweat uncomfortably. After a sauna visit, the skin is perfectly prepared for rejuvenating, purifying or relaxing skincare treatments. Make sure you don’t shiver after your sauna because the body is sensitive immediately after.
· Please leave the sauna in a clean condition. You can leave your towels to dry in the closed sauna cabin and air the sauna and shower area thoroughly. After airing, please close the windows and open the sauna door to let the warmth into the house. The sauna will take several hours to cool down to room temperature. After that, you can keep the sauna glass door closed.

We wish you a relaxing time out.
