We completed the renovation of our “Lieblingsplatz Füssen” Allgaeu vacation home and sauna at the end of 2020. It offers more of room for up to eight people in a space of over 246 square meters (approx. 2,460 square feet). So no matter whether you want to spend a vacation with your extended family or friends, you’ll have ample space for socializing as well as for time on your own. Our highly individual rooms all share one common goal: to offer you plenty of opportunities to enjoy your break to the fullest. Indoors and out.
To achieve this, we put aside any thoughts of our favorite place being “just a vacation home to let” and deliberately accepted significantly higher costs and maintenance effort as well as the need for mindfulness. Because if you live in comfort and style at home, you don’t want to miss out on beautiful living and the feeling of being at home on vacation, either.
We attached great importance to the use of natural materials in the design. Thus, the floors are made of stone or soaped natural wood planks in oak, and the over 400-year-old roof beams were blasted with walnut shells and impressively exposed.
In the living area with an open gallery, you can let your gaze wander into the distance, despite being in the middle of the beautiful old medieval town of Füssen. The modern gas fireplace, which provides warmth and flames at the touch of a button, invites you to spend pleasant sociable evenings here. And the view beckons you to dream, even if the sun should not be shining in the blue skies of the Ostallgaeu for once.

ENJOYING TOGETHER
Our spacious combined kitchen and living room with an integrated dining area are set in front of a 400-year-old wall covering made of reclaimed timber, making it the perfect place to cook, eat and share stories in a convivial atmosphere. Our long dining table offers ample space for everyone to sit together comfortably. Katrin loves to cook, so our kitchen is very well equipped to conjure up delicious meals.
The kitchen features a large induction hob, a built-in microwave with numerous options, an oven with all cooking programs, a warming drawer, large refrigerator with zero-degree range and freezer, coffee capsule machine, SodaStream, kettle, toaster, waffle iron, raclette set, fondue set, and a large number of kitchen gadgets for enthusiastic cooks. And if you want to cook outside, you can use the convenient gas BBQ with suitable equipment in the garden.
3 modern bathrooms with underfloor heating and a walk-in shower as well as a guest toilet are available to our guests. Every bathroom is individually designed and supplied with fluffy towels, a hairdryer, an illuminated make-up mirror, soap and shampoo.

We have paid special attention to comfortable bedding to ensure a good night’s rest.
In our four quiet bedrooms, you will sleep either on one of the two king-size box spring beds with high-quality barrel pocket spring mattresses and an AEROMAX Nature Topper with 1500 mini pocket springs, or in one of the 3 original historical metal beds, divided into one queen size and two extra-long single beds (210 cm / ~7 feet).
The heavy (guaranteed creak-free!) turn of the century stylish metal beds with original ornamentation have been professionally refurbished to the latest standards and are also fitted with high-quality 7-zone barrel pocket spring mattresses for a restful night
The floor-to-ceiling windows with electric shutters facing the backyard (south) also ensure deep sleep during your well-deserved vacation.
Each of the bedrooms offers ample closet space in our lovingly restored and steam-cleaned antique softwood wardrobes with storage compartments and 15 wooden hangers each.
The bedrooms also all have access to one of the furnished south-facing balconies, overlooking the courtyards of the romantic old medieval town and inviting you to bask in the sun, even in winter months.
All the bedrooms, the kitchen and the living area are also equipped with a Smart TV. This means you can stream – alone or together – your own music from your phone, radio or your favorite TV shows from ARD, ZDF etc. media libraries. If you have an account with Amazon Prime or Netflix, for example, you can also watch all your personal favorites at any time in any room as if you were at home.

After a long day of sightseeing in the beautiful surroundings or when you just want to relax, enjoy our Finnish sauna with foot baths and an additional walk-in shower & WC. You also have direct access to and a view of the secluded garden furnished with sun loungers and a generous dining area.

Furthermore, infusion scents and soothing wellness sounds from the Bose Bluetooth Mini Soundlink ensure ultimate relaxation in a very private setting, undisturbed by prying eyes – at any time.

Our garden hut with a charging station for e-bikes is at your disposal free of charge for any sports equipment you bring with you, such as bicycles etc. The vacation home has key-free access by code, a washing machine and dryer, and a free parking space in the 24/7 underground garage 200 meters (220 yards) away with a code card for entry and exit.
